Most Frequently Asked Questions
Does the treatment hurt?
Everyone’s tolerance is different, but most patients describe it as very manageable. Most compare the feeling to light scratching or vibration rather than “painful.” Comfort is a priority, so we’ll talk through what to expect and adjust as needed throughout your session.
How long do the results last?
Results can be permanent and long lasting. The goal is real tissue improvement and not a temporary cover-up. That said, your skin can keep changing with things like weight fluctuations, pregnancy, hormones, and aging. We’ll guide you on aftercare and long-term maintenance so your results stay looking their best.
Is there any downtime after the session?
Downtime is typically minimal at 1-2 days. Most patients return to normal activities right away. You can expect the area to look a bit pink or warm and feel slightly sensitive for a short period. We’ll give you simple aftercare guidelines to keep it clean, avoid sweating/sun on the area and don’t pick at healing skin.
How many sessions will I need?
The honest answer is: it depends on size + complexity. Your session range is based on:
Scar/stretch mark type (depth, texture, age, raised vs. flat)
Your skin’s response (everyone heals and builds collagen differently)
Most patients need multiple sessions for visible revision. We’ll confirm your recommended session range during your assessment
Is this treatment the same as Scar Camouflage?
Not exactly. Scar Camouflage focuses on pigment matching to blend color. Our treatments focus on revising the skin tissue with controlled injury stimulation, which generates new collagen. With NUE Conceal's medical grade serums, we treat and rebuild structure correcting the appearance of the skin over time.
Some clients are a fit for revision only, some benefit from camouflage later, and some do a combination. Your provider will recommend the safest plan for your skin tone and scar type.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer financing options to make your plan more comfortable. During your assessment, we’ll review the best option for your budget and help you choose a payment plan that fits with no stress, no judgement.
